Visited as a family during half term, what a great centre.
We swam and took part in Tarka Ski for an hour as a family.
Tom, our instructor was knowledgeable, patient and was great with our kids aged 11 and 14.
Brilliant session and great value, thank you!!!

Swim with infants and toddler - the leisure centre was clean, friendly staff, plenty of changing rooms and lockers. There are 3 family size changing rooms - may well be enough when it isn’t half term and busy periods. The small pool is approx 30 degrees. Infants enjoyed their first swim. There are different sessions in the pool to note before you go - we attended during an inflatables / floats session. We left an item in the changing rooms and staff were extremely helpful in finding it for us and contacting us promptly to inform us it had been located.

A great, modern, welcoming facility. The gym is spacious, light and well-equipped. The monthly membership is extremely good value, giving you unlimited gym, swimming and classes for less than some charge for gym only.

First time coming here, probably last one as well. There are 2 pools in this place and only one them was open.
Paid to go public swimming, lanes were still up and being used. Queried to one of the lifeguards where we were supposed to swim and they opened a lane up so there are now 2 lanes designated for public swimming. Issue here being the person who was using this for fast lane swimming is still using it for their laps. Neither myself nor my partner are confident swimmers, we wanted to use this time to learn and gain that confidence. We do not want to get in the way of someone who clearly knows what they’re doing.
Discussed this with reception and they offered to place the person in the other fast lane which was also occupied at this time. We did want to be the couple who had someone kicked out of their lane so we can practice, this is something that should have been dealt with once it was time for public swimming.
As lovely as the person was at reception this has proven to just be unnecessarily stressful and now we’ve paid for something that we weren’t able to do. We shouldn’t have to chase around for them to make an area for us to swim.

Seriously regret signing up to a fixed membership. The gym is dirty, with sweat stains on equipment, they’re dusty, dirty floors etc. There’s one skierg that’s taken by the circuits class almost every evening too. Add to that the fact there’s barely two lanes for swimming in the evening, which are often heaving, it feels like an absolute waste of money and time. Don’t sign up, there are better/cleaner gyms available. If I was allowed to exit my membership early, I would.

Modern equipment and good class variety however sometimes the gym seem over crowded or can be hard to book on popular class unless up at 6am the week before to book

Only 25m pool in town. A very good gym. Changing areas are dirty and there are always showers that don't work which is a pain. Could be really good if well maintained.

Air Bounce, kids loved it. Sections with different obstacles for the kids and a good amount of staff working within the area.
Not normally busy so the kids have lots of space.
Booking is an issue as I was unable to book 2 places. Maybe that's just my experience but generally I struggle to book anything with Tarka Leisure.
