A gorgeous place by the lakes in Lechlade in an amazing location. A wonderful way to start the year and a beautiful place to have a brunch. Tasty recipes and great coffee. On the downside it was chilly inside. But I liked it so much that I didn't care about it.

We arrived for the fireworks evening on 2nd November 2024 with a lovely greeting. The atmosphere was awesome and the service was second to none. The fireworks were fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious and was one of the best meals we have ever had there. Overall the experience was outstanding and will hopefully be going again next year.

We had an awesome lunch. The food was superb. I had wild mushroom tagliatelle which was tasty and well presented. My partner had lobster with herb potatoes which she absolutely loved. The dessert was bread and butter pudding which was absolutely fabulous!!!
The staff were very friendly, service was speedy and with a smile.
The restaurant is located next to a lake which offered superb views.
We shall definitely be back.

Terrific place, terrific layout but terrible management.
My partner and I arrived with our 3 month old to find a beautiful, quiet lakeside cafe with fantastic decor. After waiting some time to be seated, we were told that - despite the empty tables - breakfast finishes in just over half an hour and everything must be prepared for lunch. It is my first experience of such a business model; where tables are kept empty incase someone orders something from the menu.

She said we can sit inside for 20m but then the lunch menu will start and there are bookings to prepare for. We were offered to sit outside with a take away coffee instead. Another great revelation - why sit in when you can just go away. Sensing our disappointment, the nice young lady said she would come and get us if a table came available in the next [insert time period where business was not wanted]. We said ok great and sat in the cold to look in at the empty tables.

We were sat outside for about an hour and a half and so we popped in to see if any availability had arisen. See attached image for what we found. Don’t be fooled by the picture - these tables must just be part of the beautiful interior. Shockingly similar to when we arrived and I only wish I had captured that moment too. Staggered by the amount of tables that were consistently available. Can only imagine they have reservations that don’t show up.

We were rather disappointed as this is our second time visiting such a beautiful place and our second time struggling to understand the table availability. Staff seem to have the idea that less (customer presence) truly is more. Perhaps next time we will book!

Good coffee and thoroughly enjoyed passing through to use the baby changing facilities.

We stopped by here for breakfast last week. A lovey quirky spot inside a large tepee tent. Service was friendly and fast and the food was excellent.

The Hollandaise sauce on the eggs royale was lovely, one of my personal favourites on any menu, and the poached eggs were were also great. My better half loved her pancakes too.

One thing to note is that credit cards payments come up as Elsa’s- London on your bank statement, I did’t recognise this and raised a query with my bank, so be aware.

We were a group of 7 for brunch at the restaurant. The service was a bit chaotic. Lots of mix up with the orders.

The sweet pancakes came with coriander and chilli - I m sure the chef mixed it up with the avo on toast, as it had the same decorations.

The food was good, and the portions were generous. The taste felt ingredients were freshly prepared.

Love the vibe and the design.

Great for kids who can get lost and play on the playground while the food gets prepared.

Really nice place. We came here for brunch one day and for dinner the next. The staff remembered us, and both times we felt really looked after - they came to check if we needed anything at just the right times.
Food was delicious and really nicely served. I had the vegan pumpkin wellington - so nice! And the place is beautifully designed and felt calm and not too loud, with a great soundtrack - some of my favourite chilled tunes! Would highly recommend!
