We stayed here as we had travelled for a family funeral sadly. The accommodation was clean and comfortable- we had courtyard rooms. Had a cosy feel about them. Staff were very welcoming and breakfast was £10 extra per person if required. We did have one and they were very good. Would use again if in the area. Thank you

We went in for a carvery on the off chance & were generally pleased with our meal. Meat was nice & veg all fresh. Plates were tiny so you couldn’t get much on. Puddings were £6, choice of apple streusel or Xmas pud. Mine was very thin slice which had been microwaved until it was burnt & hard. Not worth £6 even if it was unburnt. Coffee was mediocre

Well what can I stay we have never stayed in such a depressing hotel…… the carpet was filthy and the furniture was like going back to the 50s. In the bathroom the ceiling had been leaking and the water was so slow and the toilet didn’t flush correctly. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was ok. I think they should refurbish it to close it down!

Sunday lunch with the family including the dog as we had been on a beautiful riverside walk. When we booked we mentioned the dog as we were aware they are dog friendly. It was very busy when we arrived. It had a nice atmosphere. Food was tasty and although plates and the serving utensils were very hot, food was not. Meat was beautifully cooked. Crackling was amazing. Potato’s were crispy and the gravy was out of this world. They even gave us some food for the dog. Good choice of desserts. Best Eton Mess we’ve had. We will return.

Whilst the hotel itself is good for a stay, the real highlight was the staff. My car broke down during my stay and their help was paramount in helping me find a solution and getting my car recovered to my home over two hours away. Their help and service was really appreciated and i would definitely stay here again

Brilliant. Absolute brilliance.| What can I say about the Langport Arms Hotel? Well firstly if you are looking for a chain hotel that looks the same in London as it does in Dundee, then look else where. This is not the hotel for you. If you are looking for history, charm, warmth and a friendly face, this is your place. |The hotel itself is full of charm and little quirks all over the place. The multiple public areas are unique in themselves. Each has a different feel to suit all customers. The bar is lively with friendly locals who are all too ready to greet with a smile and possible pork scratching for your dog. That being said, the hotel is very of friendly. The staff are always looking to give your fur baby a wee cuddle and treat. The locals are very much the same. The Terrace/Beer Garden is a little oasis of charm and tranquility. It is kept very clean and tidy at all times. With direct access from the bar, there are no steps to navigate. There is a dog bowl at hand for the thirsty dogs, should they want a drink, not to mention the jar of treats on the bar.| The room we had was a very good size, comfortably accommodating 4 of us and a dog. The room itself was very clean. The beds were so comfy. The bathroom was clean and of a good size. If there is one criticism, it would be there was no over head shower. But that is just a personal preference. We all slept very well in our room. Even my daughter, who is a very light sleeper, slept without waking even being at the front of the hotel. |Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful. Breakfast service was relaxed but also very attentive without feeling watched. |Parking is in the town square behind the hotel of which there is ample space. There is a little, but well stocked, convenience store in the town square as well as a supermarket within walking distance of the hotel. |Again the staff are so very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable of the local area. The locals are very friendly and everyone is interested to know “where you’re from”. |Langport, itself, is the perfect central location for sightseeing and touristy things, with Glasotonbury, Yeovil, Weston-Super-Mare, and Taunton being no more than 40 minutes away. There are also many museums, cider farms and attractions well within 25 miles of Langport. ||A very very well done Langport Arms. We will hopefully be back again.||And please someone get Gary some heels.

Had Sunday lunch here. Very nice and very good quality. The range of meats was good but horror gasp - pork and no apple sauce! I didn't hear the last of it hence only 4 stars. Shame!

I rang up Sunday afternoon to see if a takeaway roast was an option and It is in fact an option. They were beautiful and ready within 20 mins to collect. The roast had a good selections of veg and plenty of meat too! Was all packed good to keep it warm and to make sure there was no spillages! Would definitely recommend!
