Lovely home cooked food, two for £24 makes sense.
Best fish and chips from a restaurant.
Quality sauce would be nice as opposed to cheap sachets.

Had a breakfast here and will not be back the bacon was hardly cooked, sausage was cheap and cold, black pudding wasn't cooked well. Overall a really poor plate of food. No one came to ask how the food was or I would have mentioned we were not happy.

We used to come a few years back and it was really nice. A shame it has gone so downhill

Food was just okay, the waitress however was very rude, leaning over the children to pass hot plates to the other side of the table, when advised to go around the table she almost just slammed the plate on the table resulting in food coming of the plate. When we first arrived my partner tried to get the same lady's attention, after saying "excuse me" the waitress proceeded to spin around and shout "I'm busy!"
Staff very rude.

First time here with my daughter & granddaughter ⬅️ (13yrs) she had ham, egg & chips. I had 8oz sirloin, chips, peas & 2 huge onion rings. The daughter had new York chicken. We all enjoyed our yummy food apart from the chips & peas were undercooked. (thick chips)The young man needs to learn a little more customer care as in a happy face to greet people. Customers like to feel welcomed!

We come possibly 2 X times a year, never disappointed at all. Food never disappoints and is always great value for money. Drinks are also reasonably priced. Would come more often but the drive is a good 45 mins.

Lovely friendly place. Food was really good. Lots of fish specials. Staff were great. Mussels with chorizo and mushrooms were lush. Fish platter great too. Enjoyed a meal with friends and will come here again.

I've been a few time with the family and we haven't had one bad meal.
Its advisable to book before you go but having said that we have been un announced before and got a table.
The staff are very friendly and the food and beer selection good is varied.
They have 2 special boards one that has everyday food on the the other is fish dishes that ranges from swordfish steak to a fish platter.
They also have an outside courtyard thats lovely to sit in on hots summers day. 5⭐️👍🏻

(The Cumberland fiesta in the picture comes with garden peas but I exchanged them for beans)

Called in again on Sunday and had the roast beef dinner. Empty plate again and still 5⭐️'s
