The BEST property guardian company by far!!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with The Lowe Group for a number of years and their level of professionalism and service that I see to both their occupants (namely key workers in search of affordable housing!) and to landlords (who want to do good and utilise empty buildings whilst at the same time avoid any risks) is by far the best in the industry!

If I was either a landlord with an empty building or looking to rent a place myself in London at an affordable price (almost impossible these days!) I wouldn’t hesitate to use them as I see the level of care and passion that this family run business brings to the job. Focusing on social as well as economic good, whilst also employing individuals from less advantaged backgrounds means they “get it” and aren’t just out to make a ‘quick buck’. They’ve been trying to ease the affordable housing crisis for almost 10 years with great effect and long may it continue!

The Lowe Group is responsible for the unnecessary eviction of 15 guardians over Easter in their new flagship property near Portobello Road. The guardians had just lived there for 4 weeks when they received their 28days notice. Tim Lowe had struck a deal with his former employer estate agency Knight Frank to take over the building from another guardian company. He and his team viewed the building under the pretence of being “consultants” and a week later the other guardian company got their notice from Knight Frank. Instead of keeping the guardians on who already lived there, Tim Lowe preferred to have them move out. He said they could apply to get their rooms back six weeks after moving out with all their belongings. He claims extensive works are needed to make the property “safe” to live in, which had been a fully functioning primary school just three months prior. It can be expected that Lowe will simply create more rooms (= extensive works) and raise the prices. If there was a negative star I would give it. Beware of this company.

A common saying among the more experienced guardians is “never go with Lowe”. Having been in a number of guardianships, I can confidently say that your quality of life greatly depends on the guardianship company you are with. This one is to be avoided like the worst of plagues.
