I had a move done with them many years ago now but it's worth reiterating how bad it was.

1. Blankets not provided for furniture as promised
2. Items arrived broken
3. Items were lost in transit
4. Delivery drivers were unfit and old, some were rude
5. I had to help move my own stuff, 9 months pregnant because the guys I paid to do it were unable.
6. The Moving Partnership took no responsibilty for anything, they never tried to locate the stuff they lost, never compensated for breakages.
7. The moving partnership do not directly move your stuff, they are agents so they'll be nice as pie to you but they don't get their hands dirty.
8. Never again.

Still even after all these years I remember how awful they were. I hope I never have to deal with a company that awful again, better to spend a little extra and get a better service. Steer clear.

I used the moving partnership to arrange a last minute and unexpected move to a different country. They provided an excellent service with tonnes of advice and very clear pricing. Considering the service they offered they were also easily the most cost effective. I couldn't be happier with how the move went and the service I received. Communication was always prompt and patient. I had never used a moving company before so they took a lot of care to explain each aspect of the service and what I should expect on moving day.

When the movers showed up they were prompt and professional. Even after getting a puncture on the way to my house they communicated regularly and clearly.

The packing was done very carefully and everything was listed clearly.

Finally, when everything arrived there was no damage to my belongings and everything was unpacked and deposited in each room in my house. That was fantastic considering our particularly awkward staircase!

All in all I would happily recommend the Moving Partnership to anyone.

The team at head office provided customer service of highest standards, I spoke frequently with Wayne and Avril and they were always happy to assist with any questions which I had. The staff at The Moving Partnership were incredibly patient and helpful through this whole process. I would recommend them to anyone moving from one side of the planet to the other. Everything was packed professionally and made the journey (both by air and sea in our case) in one piece with no damage. The time it took to get our belongings shipped was long (4 months for the items shipped by sea) but the company was upfront about how long it would take and all the fees or possible fees that would be involved. We had no surprises along the way and Matthew answered every question (even the odd ones).

The Moving Partnership were very quick and extremely communicative in the early stages when obtaining quotes for my move from Copenhagen to the UK (Oxfordshire). This gave me confidence in their service and I chose to go ahead - also owing to their reasonable quote.

The date of pickup was not confirmed until much later and The Moving Partnership were inflexible with regards to this. Eventually, I had to (even after communicating my leaving date from Denmark long in advance) inconveniently accept a pickup date and time that was after I had already left the country to start my new job in the UK. This was logistically a bit awkward as I had to organise a friend to be available in my old apartment that was already occupied by someone else by that stage.

A date of delivery was never confirmed. I tried on very many occasions to get this from them, but after some time they became completely unresponsive. More than a month went by, and thinking the worst, I assumed my belongings were lost to the world. Then out of nowhere I started to get confirmation that my items would be arriving in the UK (still not to my address). Two weeks later I got confirmation of a delivery date - again completely inflexible, which meant I had to take a days leave to ensure the delivery.

My only assumption with regards to the lack of communication during the crucial periods of pickup, delivery and transit is that they must outsource the actual move to other 3rd parties and there are few details surrounding this, which is hugely disconcerting.

I give three stars because, although the whole process (after the point of getting quotes and paying) was very stressful and concerning, my belongings all eventually arrived without any damages or lost items and the cost was not unreasonable.

This ‘company’ operate under these 2 rules:

1. Have a fake polite agent on the phone as a front to wash their hands off the services you have payed for them to do because ‘they have contracted other companies to do on their behalf’

2. Once they have your personal belongings secured demand more and more money under suspicious pretences whilst you are left to contact all the other companies involved yourself and convince them to break the chain of operations to deal with you directly so the process is hopefully done.

Expect:
- Having to constantly push them to do any one thing.
- Have a supposedly 2 week delivery take 4 or + months.
- Your nearly £5,000 service to suddenly need 640£ more because they don’t know how airlines calculate charges
- Having your belongings abandoned at an airport with no customs agent or submissions assigned
- Have to get the Ombudsman involved, etc.

Fantastic service from the admin office (Sylvanna & Matthew) & the moving team (Ben & his colleague). Everything went well and the moving team was extremely professional and friendly. We moved from Germany to the UK; I would highly recommend this company & their prices were competitive.
