We visited The New Inn at Holywell Green on 12/07/24 . We were greeted by a member of staff who was very delightful. We did book a table as it was a Friday, it can be extremely busy at The New Inn on a Friday . We were shown to our table, our drinks order was taken promptly. The Menu had a fantastic choice choice of meals . Also a special’s board available too . I ordered the large haddock and homemade chips . I can honestly say it was cooked to perfection, the batter was so crispy . My mother had the beef shin pie , it looked and tasted beautiful she said . The atmosphere was really great lots of people inside , friends and family swapping stories. The New Inn is definitely a great place to go for a meal and a drink with friends and family. The staff are all very pleasant nothing is too much trouble . You’re made to feel very welcome . Beautiful views out over the valley if you dine by the window . Carpark is really big too so plenty of spaces . I can safely say we will be back very soon .

Lovely food and reasonably priced. Great service with a smile.
Overall, it's a good atmosphere for a nice relaxing meal or drinks at the bar. Will definatley be going again.

Had lovely meal here. Staff and service excellent. Now I don’t have any problems with dogs in places . However we were Sat enjoying our lovely meal when two dogs were barking and not just once. The dogs owner did nothing to stop them, ie take them out! Like said don’t have a problem with dogs but this was very off putting and wasn’t handled well by their owner.
One of the staff did come over and was asking if everything was ok, apart from the noise!
Other than that lovely place and delicious meal.

Wow amazing! The Brie starter was phenomenal and the Sunday roast was just divine, finished off with a jam roly poly! Amazing friendly service and lovely food- will definitely be back!

Lovely country pub, lovely views, excellent food (especially pleased with the vegan menu - delicious!). There is no gluten free specific menu, but the chef is happy to rustle something up (my dad was a big fan of the soup which came with gluten free bread and he also said the salad main was one of the best he'd tasted) Really friendly and helpful staff. Will be back again for sure!
