Cashed in a policy. People on the phone were.very professional and polite. My only issue is that they payed 40% to the inland revenue. Now I have the headache of claiming it back.

Absolute shocking company, Been trying to change my address for months, they keep moving the goal posts. I have had four addresses since equitable life went bust, so I have no idea where they are sending my paperwork!! and because I've moved and I have no idea what address they have, I failed security and was told to send a signed letter along with id, which i have done several times and they keep coming back to me saying they cant do the update because I haven't signed the request. HAVE A LOOK AT THE LETTER I SENT!!. The fight continues

Useless and careless company. My uncle passed away in July 2022 and I was one of five beneficiaries. They asked for my bank details in February and I heard nothing for ages. Eventually I rang up and they said they had sent a form through the post to verify my identity. I had never received this. They then said they would send out another form. Two weeks later nothing had arrived so I rang up again. They said it had just been posted and said it had been in a "queue" of things to do. It arrived a few days later. I promptly sent the form back but heard nothing for two more weeks. I rang again and after complaining they confessed all along that they had been filing my responses under the wrong reference so my returned forms were not being registered as received. They eventually paid up, seven months after I answered their initial request for my bank details. The call handlers (with one exception, when the staff member I spoke to was polite and helpful) were off-hand and unapologetic. At the end of the day I had suffered a bereavement and did not need this shambolic saga receiving my inheritance.

I have 3 pensions with these people, absolutely brilliant until you try to get your money. Two applications to date that 'apparently' lost in the post. I know royal mail are poor but to lose 2 envelopes with all my personal details is beyond useless. I also notice the complete lack of detail in all alleged positive reviews.

My call was dropped mid conversation by the call handler after she got tetchy. I was pleasant throughout.

I had 3 important questions. I waited 15 minutes (mid afternoon which is the quietest time) and then spoke for 10 minutes. I never got on to ask my other two questions, which are critical to me

What a sham outfit.... the money would be better off in a deposit account... They waste money hand over fist..Not only have these not made me any money for my pension pot they have actually lost me over £2000 in the past 12 months...got the cheek to charge for " the charge for the regular activity if investment managers "....on top of the administration charges. Whats that for, his sandwiches ?
Still got the mind set of the corrupt Equitable Life!
