A very disappointing experience with VG trying to arrange a viewing for a house. When I initially rang to book, the response I got was - there’s lots of viewings already so it would probably go before our viewing. We arranged early finishes with both our employers so we could view the house from 16.30 - 17.00. We rang at lunchtime that day to say we would be 5 minutes late and the woman said it was fine because we’d booked for 30 minutes. We got there at 16.35 to an empty house, no estate agent in sight. When we rang to ask what was happening the woman didn’t care and said “we’d got the time wrong and it was 16.00 we should have gone (my email confirmation said 16.30) but it doesn’t matter anyway because they already have lots of offers for that house” 2 weeks later and it’s still up for Sale. I’m definitely avoiding them in the future!!

Asked for a viewing on a property for as soon as possible. They booked in 6 days later. On day of viewing they ring me and cancel my viewing! Was wanting to put an offer on this property too having sold mine last week. Really bad customer service!! Back to square 1. Was willing to offer over asking price too

Would highly recommend VG- I have rented, bought and eventually sold property through them and all staff were always responsive, friendly and supportive at all times. Most recently I have sold a house through VG and whilst selling a house is never easy, Nicola made the journey was always so lovely and helpful, kept me informed and helped to move things along.

We had a very negative experience with this agent which ended up costing us over £1000 in wasted legal fees.
We were buying a house through VG that was advertised as having 13 acres of land. The conveyancing was well under way. Then we checked the plans against Google maps and realised that it was nowhere near 13 acres - it was only about half that.
We contacted VG Estates about this and were invited in to discuss it. We saw the owner of the business herself. She didn't even apologise for the error. Since VG Estate Agents seemed to deal in a lot of farms and equestrian properties that came with land, we would have expected them to be a bit more careful checking their figures on acreage. But they clearly hadn't checked at all. We were astounded that we didn't get an apology: the woman said that it was our fault as we had made an offer on the property on the first day it was listed, so "no-one else had had a chance to look and spot that there wasn't that much land." Really? An estate agent relying on people viewing the property to check whether the advertised particulars are correct?
The buyer wouldn't negotiate anything on the price so we pulled out losing our legal fees. A solicitor friend said we could have taken VG Estate Agents to court to try to recover these but we didn't want the hassle.
Happily for us, we found a bigger property within a mile of the first one for over £100K less and we moved in within a couple of months. The original property took nearly two years to sell via VG Estate Agents. We suspected that it was grossly overpriced in the first place, given that it only came with half the amount of land that they'd advertised.

I tried to find out information on this property after speaking to the owner of the estate agent, who contradicted herself several times and other colleagues.

The line was cut off; we called back straight away to be told an offer had been put in; they weren't accepting any other offers for the property!

I must say your customer service is dreadful.

Update. My comment has now been hidden on the Facebook Post.

They have now returned asking me to put an offer in on the property!

Never get back to you as promised. Asked twice for a viewing for 1 property 2 hrs after it was listed and they ignored me and then 2 days later it had gone and they said 'you've missed out this time' and they just never bothered to ring me back regarding a 2nd viewing after speaking to them on the phone
