Disappointing Experience at Virginia Water Post Office

I am compelled to share my deeply disappointing experiences at the Virginia Water Post Office, as this has happened not once, not twice, but three separate occasions. Like many, life is busy, and I rely on the post office for essential services. However, my recent visits have left me frustrated and disillusioned with the reliability of this establishment.

On each of my visits, I arrived during the posted opening hours, only to find that the post office was not operational. Most recently, I arrived at 9:30 AM, fully expecting to be able to conduct my business, only to be informed that the post office would not open until 11 AM. This is particularly disheartening given that the posted opening time is 7 AM. This lack of consistency and reliability has become a pattern, and it raises serious questions about the management and staffing of this location.

During my previous visits, I encountered a staff member named Nithin Burugupally at the till, who, on two separate occasions, expressed uncertainty about how to operate the till. This is not only unacceptable but also indicative of a broader issue with training and preparedness among the staff. It is incredibly frustrating to stand in line, only to be met with confusion and a lack of assistance when I simply want to complete a straightforward transaction.

The inconsistency in service and the apparent lack of knowledge among the staff members has led to a significant waste of my time. It is baffling that a post office, which is supposed to provide essential services to the community, cannot maintain consistent hours or adequately train its employees. This experience has left me questioning the reliability of the Virginia Water Post Office and whether it can meet the needs of its customers.

I sincerely hope that management takes this feedback seriously and implements necessary changes to improve the situation. The community deserves a post office that operates efficiently and provides reliable service. Until significant improvements are made, I cannot recommend the Virginia Water Post Office to others.

In summary, my repeated disappointments have compelled me to write this negative review. It is my hope that this feedback will prompt a much-needed review of operations at the Virginia Water Post Office, ensuring that future customers do not endure the same frustrating experiences that I have faced.

I'm always warmly welcomed when I walk into the shop and personally I think the owner has got a great attitude towards his customers. To those people leaving a bad review on here regarding the post office staff ,there is something you should know . There is only one member of staff working on that counter . They do not have a lunch break, tea break or toilet break ,so when they are needing a break for whatever reason they try to go when there's no one in the queue. If there's a sign saying back in 5 mins don't chastise them for being a little longer . Sometimes there are jobs that they need to do that are important for things to run smoothly, sacks of post need to be ready for collection before the post van arrives. This involves the ONE member of staff having to leave the counter to sort that out .Don't expect the post office to be open when the shop opens and when it closes. The hours of business for the post office are different from the shop . Hours of business for the post office are displayed on the post office counter . Post offices are not open on a Sunday or a bank holiday . The post office staff are there to help you with your requirements but there are some things that they cannot do like filling in forms that need specific training and they will tell you this , so in these instances please don't get frustrated and take it out on them, just take their advice and go to a main post office where you'll get the help you need, Also don't complain or ring the bell just because there's no one serving . Be nice . They are doing their best .

Rude staff. Bad, unreliable service
You try and support your local shops but when that loyalty is thrown back in your face repeatedly it becomes harder to support those shops which shouldn’t remain. Customers are their lifeblood not an inconvenience.
This shop has lost a business customer today by the way the young lady behaved.
By contrast, the Post Office on trumps green road couldn’t be more different. My new local PO

Opening hours especially for package drop off are completely unreliable and will depend on all the drama the staff is dealing with (today I was yelled at that I cannot drop my package because she has not eaten the whole day). Staff is always annoyed and unfriendly - so only go there if lack of options but now found another drop off and hint to staff: if you are friendly people make a purchase even if they did not plan to.

Terrible service. Went in at 10ish on Friday morning. Told to come back, as no one to serve me for at least 20 mins. Patiently returned after 25 mins to be told, "person was very busy out the back, so would be another half an hour, and really, it's better to come in the afternoon...." Why take on a franchise if you can't operate for the hours advertised?! Now I see all the other similar reviews. Should have checked first.

Do not trust the opening times. Went at 1pm during my lunch hour but the post office (not shop) was closed for an hour so I went back after work because they close at 7:30 on a Wednesday. Nope. Closed. So even the time on the door is wrong. Good job.

There is an old man working there. This is the third time that he is rude with me. I was waiting all the queue and when I arrived I used the pen that they have to write the direction of my letter. He complained about that because there was more customers and "should be ready". One minute, but he as always rude.
