October 2025, spent five nights on Rhayader campsite, beautiful location and serviced pitches, next to the River Wye, five minute walk to the center of town, bakery, shops, Spar mini-market, pubs, and chippy. Walk from campsite through woodland following the Wye River to Otters rock. All on-site van/motorhome and camping facilities and utilities plus laundry washing machine, showers, toilets, washing up sinks, etc. All kept spotlessly clean by friendly and helpful staff. Some town traffic noise but not disturbing. Will re-book in 2026 season.

Our first time at this Caravan and Camping site run by the Caravaning Club. I was very impressed with the facilities. The superior pitch has access to electricity, water and a drain. The site sits on the banks of the River Wye which had clean flowing water during our visit in May. Very clean well maintained site including the showers, toilets, wash area and laundrette. The welcome we received was spot on with very helpful tips for local exploration including traditional butchers in Rhayader village. The site has access to tennis courts and a bowling club. Perfect for hiking long or local riverside walks or biking or even for a stroll to explore the good scene at Rhayader.

We arrived in the dark and was met by a friendly warden who helped us to pick a pitch and made sure that we had everything that we needed for hook up. Wyeside was shutting for the season in the morning but all the facilities were still spotlessly clean and tidy. The showers were really hot. Dog friendly, as all the club sites are. Located next to the River Wye and only a 10 minute walk into Rhayader. Would stay here again.

We were just having a last trip in the van for this year and we found Wyeside. We are so happy with our stay. The site is kept in excellent condition. The staff are soooo helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I love it when I shown to my pitch. That personal touch is amazing.
The facilities were very clean, fantastic.
There are walks all around and the town is a short walk away. I will be making a note of this place for the future. Can't fault it.

Last minute booking so wasn't sure what to expect. What a beautifully looked after campsite. Enjoyed 3 nights with a totally relaxed atmosphere, no loud music, very dog friendly & waffle made some new friends when she wasn't being a knob 🤣 Being right next to the river was a big bonus. Will definitely return. Highly recommended

What a lovely well maintained, friendly & happy site.
I just stayed Fri to Sun with friends & haven't been here for 10 or 11 years, what a difference, amazing in a good way.
We had the weather for it too only one thunderstorm Saturday evening as we had the BBQ on but hey ho, other than that perfect sunshine.
The staff are really pleasant & would do anything for us to make our stay comfortable.
Right by the river Wye too with a few access points to get in the river from a pebble beach.
Really want to go back soon but it's so popular it gets booked up quickly so planning well in advance is essential, we booked in Jan for example!
Lots to do & see & only a short trip the Elan Valley reservoirs, visitor centre etc.

Lovely clean site, nice flat pitches. Beautiful walk along the river and town within 10 minutes with pubs/ restaurants, takeaways, coop, spar and local shops. Only downside is the noise from motorbikes on the road above, but all peaceful at night.
