As expected for insurers, they will interpret clauses to their maximum benefit. They invalided our claim on leasehold restrictive covenant insurance because, during our renovation process, we mentioned our house's wooden flooring to the freeholder. Note that there was ABSOLUTELY NO WAY we could have done the renovation without the freeholder coming to look at the property and seeing the wooden flooring in place... The moral of the story is assume the worst reading of any clause written on a contract from this company. internal reference number: IS19/020 - ISIS18645530
