A truly special place for car history enthusiasts. My son and I had the pleasure of visiting, and it was an unforgettable experience for both of us. We were warmly welcomed by Richard, who kindly opened the door for us and offered his help throughout our visit. He is a true gentleman, and we will always remember his kindness. Thank you very much, Richard.

I drove up in convoy to CTL yesterday with one of my fellow members of the North Kent Lotus Group for a Classic Team Lotus Workshop Tour .
We were greeted by Richard Parrimint, whose involvement with Lotus Cars and Team Lotus goes back over 30 years and were treated to a comprehensive tour of the CTL Workshop, with an extensive selection of Lotus competition cars, ranging from Graham Hill's Lotus 12, to a modern racing version of the Emira, with many significant grand prix cars inbetween, including most of the championship winners, as well as a replica of Colin Chapman's first ever Lotus trials car, based on an Austin 7 and a small number of road cars.
Richard is a lifelong Lotus enthusiast and is highly knowledgeable about the marque, as well as being a great raconteur, with many amusing and sometimes poignant anecdotes about the Lotus drivers and team personnel, so our two hours passed quickly.
My only criticism is that we were not offered the promised photo opportunity with one of the grand prix cars, but as Richard was on his own and had no one to help him wheel one outside, allied to torrential rain during our visit, this was not possible, but photography is nevertheless permitted throughout the tours.
There was also an opportunity to purchase goods from
the CTL giftshop at the end, which is well stocked with clothing, accessories, books, models and prints.
In summary, a most enjoyable day and well worth the journey from South East London.
If you haven't already done so, you simply have to book yourself on to a CTL Tour - you will not be disappointed.

Stunning experience. Me and my son attended. Great access to the cars being worked on and in storage upstairs. As a Chapman and Lotus fan it was like a pilgrimage. They have all the original draughtsman drawings of all their cars. Stunning.

I led a group of 10 Morgans to tour the factory & classic team lotus.
We all found it very interesting & entertaining. Nick gave a great talk at the Classic Team Lotus building and after lunch (at the great pub that is the Bird in Hand ) Scott led us through production.
I highly recommend the day if you are petrol head, though there are also EVs onsite

If like me, you've lived in Norfolk all your life and not visited the Classic Team Lotus museum, then you don't know what you're missing
I can honestly say that my visit was absolutely awesome!!!
A well spent 3 hours on a Sunday with a most informative guide who covered everything I never knew about the history of Lotus racing.
Past champions like Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Ayrton Senna, Nigel Mansell, Mario Andretti, Emerson Fittipaldi, are all talked about and a lot of the winning cars and memorabilia are there on display.
Fantastic friendly approach with a massive wealth of knowledge talking about Colin Chapman's life and love of motor racing.
Excellent display of incredible cars, book it now, you wont be disappointed.
