I'm really surprised to read the recent negative reviews, as my experience with UHY Hacker Young (Nottingham) has been excellent. I am the secretary of a small, volunteer-run charity and the advice we get from UHY is invaluable in relation to the legal and financial context for our work (quite challenging, as we deliver projects overseas). UHY produce our annual report and statement of accounts to a high standard, fully engaging in discussions about the minutiae of wording etc. to meet our requirements. What an utter disappointment! My family have used this company for approx 20 years with only wonderful results. However now, with the old CEO having retired, it is run by people that really don't seem to care about their customers. I rarely heard from them unless it was for yet another invoice! They didn't keep to meetings and were very difficult to get on the phone (OK very occasionally when they decided to call me back!) Then to top off my terrible experience once I had found a different firm, they made the transfer over very difficult. Oh yes then there are the remaining invoices they have sent! Which they now are threatening court action!! My new accountants have actually told me that I shouldn't pay because they have just done the work that UHY are trying to charge me for!! Just a nightmare.
