Devitt insure my two motorcycles. The renewal date for this policy is 21st December yet they have taken payment from my card eight days early and without notifying me. They also took the funds automatically when I had specified not to do this. Maybe I'll tell my firm they have to pay me eight days before normal pay day from now on, will let you know how this goes. Best avoided I would suggest.

Terrible service, have been a customer for years and both policies have over tripled in price for no reason - well beyond cost of living amounts.

Have been difficult to cancel renewals and even though this was cancelled they still take payments. Unable to find what they are taking payments against and slow to assist

Felt they'd been alright for a good period of time but it's been a bit of a shambles recently. They passed my bike onto 4th Dimension after an accident and they've failed to repair my bike properly, Devitt don't seem to be doing an awful lot in the way of helping. Considering they take my money at the start of the insurance policy pretty quickly I'd like to think I'd be helped when a third party company they've passed me onto for the repairs of my bike hadn't repaired it properly then something would be done about it. Pay a premium and an excess for a reason. Just hope as an insurance company they're choosing carefully who they suggest to their customers what third party is repairing their bike.

After being with them for many years and building 5 years no claims, my policy renewal went from £300 a year to £1500 for the year! What an absolute scam, this is how you treat your loyal customers?

Prices last few years have been good. Renewal price is competitive and also the same as they quote for a "new" policy. Customer service is also good - easy to get hold of and call centres based in the UK, without the usual tosh of "we're experiencing high call volumes" because they actually employ a suitable number of people to answer the phone quickly.

Shocking service, insured both my bikes online, paid both deposits, then received threatening emails saying I hadn't paid or provided proof of no claims, and would be cancelled. Then a letter, we have what you sent us, all good. Then, a letter saying your ncb only counts on one bike, your being cancelled again on one policy. I've never had a multi bike policy, always had separate, so how does this work ? Don't cancel it , I'll do it, totally inept.

I always shop around and this year decided to go with Devitt after my previous insurer sky rocketed,so i took out a new policy. Devitt were cheaper and included more benefits. Day after i took out this policy , my previous insurer rang me to ask why i didnt auto renew with them . Well it was obvious, theytold me if i cancelled with Devitt they would match the price. I said if you hadnt have put the price up we wouldnt be having this conversation, the call ended abruptly as you can imagine. Also i found with Devitt the breakdown cover was better. Anyway after being insured with Deviit for just over a month i decided to buy a private number plate. I emailed Devitt customer services and they got back to me and ammended the policy details with no extra charge. What insurance have ever done that Thanks now to Devitt im looking forward to being safe for at least another year or maybe longer . Great to be looked after and not ripped off . So far so good
