Don't even think about using this vet if you're on benefits as they just won't want to know. Nearly a week ago I contacted them because my cat (aged 2) was constantly being sick. They wouldn't offer a payment plan, they wanted the money before I left the practice if I made an appointment. The RSPCA had said they could donate towards costs but wanted an estimate from my Vet. Five days after asking for an estimate I've still not heard from them. My cat could have died for all the compassion they've shown. A friend recommended Rackheath Vets and they have been an absolute God send offering a payment plan. As a result, my cat after seeing Chris is making a slow but steady recovery.

I would like to thank everyone at the practice for their kindness, compassion and respect at a very difficult time. We said goodbye to Benedict,Saturday morning and his treatment received prior to this and our treatment as owners was exemplary. Heartbreaking to let him go,but you all made the whole process bearable and never once did we feel pressured or guilty..we were given time to decide and then say our goodbyes. Thankyou all so very much.

My husband and I were treated with great respect. We had to take our dear little cat PussPuss to the Anchorage vet because she had been missing for 4 days. The out come was not good, but no fault of the vets. They phoned us at home to tell us about all the damage that had been done to her so I had to tell them to put her to sleep. But they did say that we could go back and say our goodbye,s, which we did, they brought her out in a tiny blanket like a little baby and put her in my arms to kiss and cuddle her and talk to her then they injected her ON MY SAY SO and she died in my arms. They seemed as upset as me and my husband. So what else can I say. They were wonderful. Thank you Serena.❤ Maureen and Peter Salter. xxx

Well, having read recent reviews it was with considerable trepidation that I contacted Anchorage last Monday (I live in the village and don’t drive so have no option but to go to them) as I had noticed a growth in my cats mouth.

I really shouldn’t have worried. From my first contact with reception through to the vet Anne and nurse Kara, I was met with kindness and my cat’s treatment could not have been better. Upshot was he had surgery on Friday to remove said growth plus extract teeth and a scale and polish and he’s now as happy as ever. Hopefully the lab report will confirm Anne’s diagnosis of “benign mass” and he’ll go from strength to strength.

I was Registered with the vets since my dog was a puppy. Rarely had any visits till his older age when things started going wrong. My most recent visit was for in house blood tests which I was ensured the results would be back in 24 hours. After chasing the results I was informed that "the vets looked at them and if there was anything to worry about then they would have already been in touch" this was by Nikki on reception. Well, fast forward less than a week and I had to make the decision to put my best friend to sleep due to cancer. Absolutely shocking service, would recommend everyone to stay away.

As Google Doesn't let me reply to the Owner of the vets, I have had to add this to my original post. 3 weeks since the 1st post, and a reply virtually instantly after making a poor review. Which is faster than I ever got a call back. Their reply to myself was they would be In touch to talk about my review. Still no call... so I can only assume the reply was to keep the viewers of the reviews happy. Stay away...

Have been with this vets for approx 20 years but have only been using them again for approx 4 years after a period of no pets. We always held them in very high regards previously, but have had mixed experiences since we have needed them again. We have found that the service received tends to be either excellent or poor depending on the receptionist or vet that is on at any given time. Their are some excellent receptionists at the service who are incredibly helpful and sympathetic but also one who is simply condescending with an appalling customer service attitude for a front facing role. We have also had some mixed experiences with the vets which have prompted us to register our two dogs elsewhere. Consistency and respect cannot be understated!

If I could I give minus five stars!!!
The worst vet. Administrators are completely incompetent. They doesn't know their job. When I called the phone, I explained that I needed a rabies vaccine because I was going abroad. Booked appointment, need wait almost 2 weeks. Finally when I arrived at the place, they said they weren't doing the rabies vaccine.
