Had a brilliant experience here today. My daughter was suffering with ear ache. The pharmacist was so helpful, he looked in her ear and gave us some drops. My little girl was so upset and in pain and he really helped us. He was really good with her and it was so good to get it checked and treated quickly. Thank you.

Was advised to try Blackthorn Pharmacy by Tescos Pharmacy who were unable to check my painful ear.
After waiting for the pharmacist to return from lunch, she immediately checked my ears and gave advice. Very good free service. Definitely recommend Blackthorn Pharmacy.

I found very rude with delivery of medication

Wife's Monthly meds delivered on Friday the 28th July but two items missing. As it was late on Friday when delivered I went to the pharmacy on the Monday. I spoke to a man who looked into the missing items and assured me he would have them dispensed and delivered to me. (I never knew that Blackthorn pharmacy was open on a Saturday morning.) Come Friday the 4th August by evening no delivery. As one of the packs where of a tablet to be taken on the same day every week this being a Sunday my wife was beginning to get upset. I went onto their website and discovered they opened on a Saturday morning so I went up to the pharmacy and spoke to a very young girl who after explaining the the problem consulted with her colleague. I received a pack with the meds. Got home wife opened the pack and lo at behold instead of a month supply she got one tablet and a pack of tablets that were not required as they were already supplied in her blister packs. I went back up to get it sorted once again asked to speak to the pharmacist,told to wait. 30mins later I had enough so I spoke to the young girl again and this young man appeared and told me that he had followed the script on his computer that it was one tablet weekly, I explained it comes as a monthly supply otherwise I would have to go to the pharmacy every week but he was adamant that it was on the script, computer says no. Eventually a lady came and I explained the problem to her she immediately took over and rectified the problem. The young lad was still saying it's not on the script, the lady explained it to him but he couldn't seem to grasp the problem. Still waiting to speak to the pharmacist though. I never new it is under new management. It ran smooth as velvet under the old management. Massive improvements required.

Very helpful staff. Helped me sort out an issue with a prescription from earlier this week via 111. Staff went above and beyond to help and very kindly delivered the meds foe me as I was really unwell .

It saddens me to post such a negative review. I have been so disappointed with this pharmacy since my local one closed down in 2019. I have a quarterly repeat prescription for 8mg doxazosin for high blood pressure . This pharmacy never have this in stock but will not dispense 4mg x 2. They always says "this will be here tomorrow". It never arrives and there is never an apology. I have tried to explain to them that I will accept a double dose of 4mg but they won't do this. This means I have to phone the pharmacy to see if the 8mg is in stock then return to plead with them to give me. 4mg x 2. (They can't grasp that 4mg x 2 =8mg).. Not a good experience..
